wedding speech - wedding planning 101

Questions such as do we really have to have a rehearsal dinner, what do we do at the rehearsal dinner, who pays for the rehearsal dinner, who is invited to the rehearsal dinner and do we have to invite out of town guests are planning questions that remain unanswered for many couples. Second marriages require a host of issues that differ from the preparations for a first marriage.

While a rehearsal dinner is not necessary, it is a good opportunity to get together with close friends and family members to thank them all for their participation and assistance during the planning of the wedding as well as their participation in the actual wedding itself. One of the distinct disadvantages of a destination wedding is that the planning process can be difficult and that you are often unable to fully enjoy the planning process. Sometimes seeing your concerns listed on paper helps to alleviate them.

Make sure your guests know whom to contact if they do have questions about the surprise bridal party. A recipe box with plenty of recipes for every occasion is another great clever, but yet classic, gift for a young couple just beginning their lives together. The rehearsal dinner is an opportunity for the couple to thank everyone who has supported them throughout their wedding planning and also to just relax and have a good time with friends and family outside of the formality that often surrounds a wedding.

Remember when considering price, it is important to factor in what is included in the price that the wedding photographer quotes you. This simple gift lets your bridesmaids know that you appreciate their efforts and that you want to thank them for all that they have done to support you.
